SCARY SPICE GIRLS lot of 2 action figures RAVE TOY NECKLACES DOLLS

Sam: What's up peeps! Don't try looking us up in the phone book. And if Mr. Kincaid answers the phone, don't say anything about our eBay auctions. Okay?

Emma: Now tell me, Sam, you're not serious about thinking the Spice Girls are sending positive messages to all those impressionable young girls out there.

Sam: Why aren't they? Look, I refuse to get drawn into a political debate over the Spice Girls. They're strong women who don't take shit from anybody. And they use their bodies to get what they want! That's feminist, right?

Emma: Hello? That's not feminism, that's the same old song that men have been trying to brainwash women into believing since cave times! Reducing women to the sum of their body parts!

Sam: But isn't being sexy allowed?

Emma: Sure, Sam, and that's where feminism gets a bad rap. Most people would try to tell you that you can't be a feminist and like sex, or put on makeup, or wear sexy clothes. But you can! The problem is that holding airheads like the Spice Girls up as role models makes it seem like girls can't have brains, too.

Sam: Well, this lot features Scary Spice, and in her picture on the back she's wearing glasses.

Emma: With no lenses, probably! And what's the deal, why did the only black Spice Girl get a fucked up name like Scary?

Sam: I don't know. But I'm telling you, the Spice Girls are rad! Both these Scary Spice dolls have super-funky outfits, and there's even tiny jewelry and an official Spice Girls membership card! Spice Girls fans, don't listen to Emma. Go ahead and bid!

You are bidding on a lot of 2 Scary Spice Girl action figure dolls, 6" tall, fully posable, new in box, sealed in original wrapping. High bidder pays $3.00 S&H, sent Priority Mail, for one or two Spice Girls lots - see our other auctions. Credit cards accepted using PayPal.

BABY SPICE GIRLS lot of 2 action figures RAVE TOY NECKLACES DOLLS

Emma: To all the girls & guys out there! Don't try looking us up in the phone book. And if Mr. Kincaid answers the phone, don't say anything about our eBay auctions. Is that cool?

Sam: Emma, look.

Emma: What?! Please don't tell me you're selling these.

Sam: Why, do you want them?

Emma: No I don't want 'em! They're the freaking Spice Girls!

Sam: Lemme guess, you don't like the Spice Girls.

Emma: She shoots! She scores! Sam, tell me how a liberated woman like yourself comes into possession of action figures devoted to furthering the cult of the airheaded bimbo!

Sam: Got 'em from a friend who was selling them to party kids.

Emma: Ravers dig the Spice Girls?

Sam: Well, she was making necklaces out of them. Drilling straight through their heads and stringing them from cords with funky beads.

Emma: So what, didn't they sell?

Sam: No, she's making a mint, kids paying $5 or $10 a pop for these necklaces! But I traded her some rave flyers for these few.

Emma: Maybe that wasn't such a great idea. You know how fast those flyers sell.

Sam: Oh, I've got more flyers. You'll see. Anyway, this lot features two Baby Spice dolls. You get one with a dress and one wearing go-go boots. There's even tiny jewelry and an official Spice Girls membership card!

Emma: Wow. Hon, you're a trip.

Sam: Besides, I think the Spice Girls are kinda cool. They're liberated, in a way.

Emma: We need to talk.

Sam: I know there's some Spice Girls fans besides myself on eBay today! Go ahead peeps, bid on 'em!

SWITCHBLADE SISTERS i lost my eye for this gang! jack hill CLASSIC EXPLOITATION 1975 VHS

Emma: Now remember, people, don't try looking us up in the phone book. And if Mr. Kincaid answers the phone, don't say anything about buying our movies on eBay. Okay? Here we go! Today's featured item. Another video from the Videodrome's collection of unusual films that most people are too timid to watch. Straight off the shelves. Jonah, would you hand me that movie right there? Which one is that?

Jonah: Switchblade Sisters.

Emma: Do you want this one or is it mine?

Jonah: You know we both dig this movie, Emma. As much shit as I talk about Tarentino, I give him props for re-releasing this one on his Rolling Thunder label. However, what we got for ya right here is the original video release on After Hours Entertainment, not the Rolling Thunder re-release.

Emma: So here's why this flick is the bomb! From the moment this 1975 Jack Hill exploitation classic bursts onto the screen, with a slammin' opening track by Medusa that sounds like something the Carrie Nations would be pushing if their career had lasted Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls, you know you got the real deal.

Jonah: That sleazy fat dude who's trying to repossess the TV from Lace's mother, the chick who runs the girls' gang before Maggie takes over and they become the Jezebels. Then he steps onto the elevator, and all you see is Dagger Debs graffiti everywhere.

Emma: Stupid sucker thinks he's getting laid, but more and more gang members get on at every stop! Hey, you little beaver punk, open the door! And they bum rush his lowlife ass!

Jonah: Jack Hill, that guy was way ahead of his time. Like his crazy movie Spider Baby, with Lon Chaney in one of his last roles. Dare you to watch that one and not get far freaked out.

Emma: Dare you to watch the reformatory prison riot scene in Switchblade Sisters and not be amazed, we're talking cross-genre exploitation action at its finest, when Lace squares off with Mom Smackley, the hardcore lesbian warden, and nearly beats her to death with a toilet plunger!

Jonah: And y'know, as over the top as this flick is, there's a lot of reality here. Maybe because this shit was ultra low-budget, it feels real, like you're getting a glimpse into the youth gang subculture of small-city America circa 1973. You got knocked up, right? Big deal! Dom throws cash at Lace. Here, you know what to do.

Emma: The decaying urban infrastructure breeding kids who feel like the system's abandoned them. The promise of the sixties' counterculture subverted for evil ends, as personified by Crabs and the rival gang he leads, whose hippie "community center" is a total front for their prostitution and dope peddling activities.

Jonah: Somebody once told me that Gabe Kaplan ripped his whole concept for the Sweathogs off this movie.

Emma: Really? Yeah, the high school rituals on display get a lot deeper than you'd think. Dom, the leader of the Daggers, a low rent John Travolta, raping Maggie and the both of them bonding because they're tough, lost souls in a violent, uncaring world. The perpetual scapegoating of that chunky chick Donna, like when Lace gets on her back for wanting a cheeseburger, or her Dagger boyfriend who slaps her around when she doesn't win the cigarette holding contest and costs him some bread.

Jonah: Man, we haven't even mentioned half of the cool shit that goes down in this flick. You get naked chicks battling lesbian prison guards for control of the reformatory! The transformation of sweet Maggie into fiery leader of the Jezebels, the baddest girl gang to ever rumble across a movie screen! The bloody machine gun battle at the roller rink! Patch screaming, "I lost my eye for this gang!" The final confrontation with Crabs' mob for control of the streets, with freaking armored cars and vans, whole city blocks consumed by the struggle!

Emma: You can't hold the Jezebels, kids, you can beat us, chain us, lock us up, but we're gonna be back! And when we do, you better keep your ass off our turf, or we're gonna bite it off! So bid on it!

You are bidding on a previous rental, used VHS videotape of Switchblade Sisters (1975), SP mode, video released on After Hours Entertainment label, not the Rolling Thunder re-release. Tape comes with original box, is in good condition and guaranteed to play. Original box shows creases and other signs of wear, comes with protective plastic sleeve. High bidder pays $3.50 S&H. Credit cards accepted using PayPal.

75 techno trance house jungle DJ RAVE FLYERS 1993-2000

Emma: Yo, revolutionary warriors out there! I hope you know the drill by now. Don't try looking us up in the phone book. And if Mr. Kincaid answers the phone, don't say anything about our eBay auctions. Is that cool?

Sam: Listen, Emma, can you come here a sec?

Emma: Sure, Sam, what's up?

Sam: You're all wrapped up with Harold on this super-secret project of his, I just wanna know a little more about why we're raising cash.

Emma: Listen Sam, if I tell you, then I'm gonna have to tell Mark and Jonah. Once Jonah finds out, it's all over, he'd never believe what's going on, and he'd stop helping.

Sam: Oh please. He's hardly sold anything anyway. He's too busy (a) chasing that stupid Rollergirl and (b) stealing 70's porn from the store for his own private collection. You know, someone stole half the porn tapes we used to have even before those guys starting selling the movies!

Emma: I know, I think it was Stanley. Look, just trust me, okay? You'll find out soon enough, 'cuz we're really gonna need your help then.

Sam: Okay, you wanna see my latest flyer lot?

Emma: Most def! People sure dig those flyers.

Sam: Well, I've been saving them religiously for like, five years, and I traded a bunch one summer with some older ravers who started going to parties long before I did, so that's a whole decade worth of flyers! Here's a couple from 1996, Feelgood headlined one and Micro & Vicious Vic rocked the other.

Emma: Wow. There's a lot of DJ's on this flyer.

Sam: Unity was held on the summer solstice of 1999 somewhere in West Virginia. There was an outrageous lineup at that party. DJ's like Frankie Bones, Dan, Bad Boy Bill, Gavin Hardkiss, Feelgood, Dieselboy, Trace, Onionz, and the Atomic Babies.

Emma: I like this one just because it's got a four-armed goddess showing off some serious girl power.

Sam: Yeah, she's pretty fly.

Sam: Oh, Cosmic Bounce! I remember this nightmare party. Scheduled to happen in two different cities over three nights, and instead ended up being a one-night, one location, most headliners not showing up kinda deal. Yet another in a long line of infamous parties that are poorly planned, or phantom booked, or don't go off correctly for whatever reason and leave a bunch of too-trusting partykids feeling ripped off.

Emma: This one's really cool. It's shaped like a laser beam explosion.

Sam: Yeah, and see, the beam's turning the cute partykid into an alien, that one's from '95, it was called Transformation!

Emma: Oh wow, check out this chick, she's blowing bubbles. And the party's called "Blowin Up."

Sam: Look at the name of the party, it's written on necklace beads. All the DJ's names are like that, too! And this one stands up by itself, it's real unusual.

Emma: Wow. Some of these are from like, Mexico, Canada, Ireland, the UK. Check out Sam going global!

Sam: It's so weird, it's like, in some places, they've actually passed anti-raving laws, curfews, etc., and there's less parties being thrown. In other areas, it's bigger than ever, and I see more and more flyers every week!

Emma: Cops are like that, Sam. See some kids having a good time, and the first thing they do is start scheming how to shut things down.

Sam: It's just so stupid. Most ravers I know are over 21 anyway, or at least over 18. They ought to be able to make choices for themselves about how to have fun.

Emma: Wake up and smell the system, girlfriend. What's this, you got magazines in here, too?

Sam: Yeah, some of the flyers in this lot are actually 2-page ads in full-color underground magazines like Lotus, published in Los Angeles, and The People Have Spoken (TPHS), from Toronto. Then there's 3 issues of the Rave Community Flyer, a schedule of dozens of parties distributed across the Southeast.

Emma: So people get flyers, free mags, cool. Ravers need to read more, anyway!

Sam: Peeps! Mad props going out once again to all those who bid on my flyers! Yay! To show my thanx, I've got another, totally different flyer lot for ya, this one definitely rarer than my first three! There's 75 total here, and they're from as far back as 1993. To keep things straight, this is Lot "D" of my flyers. The first three I've auctioned off to date were Lots "A," "B," and "C," all of them different, which you don't even have to worry about unless you were previously high bidder on a lot, want to bid again, and want to make sure you're not bidding on any duplicate flyers. I know you'll enjoy these flyers as much as I have. 75 flyers, all different, all of them mega-cool and crazy collectible. So start bidding! Peace!

You are bidding on a lot of 75 East Coast rave and club flyers, Lot "D," primarily from the Southeast, all in near-mint unused condition, all of them in color on glossy stock paper, unless noted below, except for: three 8pp issues of Rave Community Flyer on newsprint, two full-color issues of Lotus magazine, 66 pp & 80pp, one full-color issue of TPHS, 50 pp; all with great graphics, ninety percent of them rave flyers, all club flyers selected on basis of cool graphics, no duplicates, no junk. REBEL ROUSERS jack nicholson diane ladd bruce dern CLASSIC BIKER FLICK 1970 VHS

Emma: Now remember, people, don't try looking us up in the phone book. And if Mr. Kincaid answers the phone, don't say anything about buying our movies on eBay. Okay? Here we go! Today's featured item. Another video from the Videodrome's extensive cinema collection. Straight off the shelves. Jonah, would you hand me that movie right there? Which one is that?

Jonah: Rebel Rousers. Looks like The Wild One in color.

Emma: Excellent! A low budget, trashy 60's biker flick with big name stars in their underground, anti-establishment, slummin' it phase. With a happy ending that holds out hope for the whole mixed up generation of 13-lovin', one percenters running wild in the streets on their hogs who actually filled theatres to see this joint.

Jonah: Dig it, girl, but what's a one-percenter? And why do they love 13?

Emma: 13 is like, the thirteenth letter of the alphabet. Y'know, M? As in, marijuana? Were you absent from 70's class the day they taught this lesson?

Jonah: Right, right! Wow, that's a heavy trip.

Emma: Far out, huh? And a one percenters are the 1 out of 100 people who don't give a fuck, who refuse to play by the system's rules, who are just as likely to hop on their bikes and up and down the California coast for three days at a stretch, tanked up on speed, angel dust, who knows what.

Jonah: This flick's got some heavy hitters featured: Jack Nicholson, Bruce Dern, Harry Dean Stanton, and Diane Ladd.

Emma: Yeah, all that's missing is Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper and Dean Stockwell. But all three of those dudes chilled with Bruce Dern in The Trip, working from a script by Nicholson and direction by Roger Corman! Have you seen that?

Jonah: 1970 to 1980, Emma. If it ain't got that ring, it don't mean a thing.

Emma: The sixties didn't officially end until about 1974, Jonah. When Nixon resigned and Chevy Chase took over, that's when the seventies began. That's when they brought on the friendly fascism, y'know, disco music to rob funk of its radical lyrical content, coke and heroin replacing grass and LSD, right wing-funded cults to direct kids away from activism, the whole nine.

Jonah: I'm not getting into politics with you, girl.

Emma: Whatever. Anyway, in this flick you get the kind of pseudo-reality flashback documenting that only low budget films can deliver. Suburban American society torn apart by conflict between the squares and the enticing new world of the outlaws. Sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll. Cameron Mitchell as Diane Ladd's boyfriend, alone against the savages. The moral choices faced by Bruce Dern, who has to weigh loyalty to his gang and his inner psycho against doing the right thing, twenty years before Spike Lee. An up-close glimpse of a biker-chic subculture that lived loud, fast, and out of control. So don't be a counter-revolutionary, bid on it!

You are bidding on a previous rental, used VHS videotape of Rebel Rousers (1970), EP mode, video released on Rhino Home Video label (1995), pictured below. Tape comes with original box, is in good condition and guaranteed to play. High bidder pays $3.50 S&H. Credit cards accepted using PayPal.

DAZED AND CONFUSED drugs stoners richard linklater ben affleck parker posey 1993 VHS

Bill: Now remember, people, don't try looking us up in the phone book.

Ted: And if Mr. Kincaid answers the phone, don't say anything about buying our movies on eBay. Okay man? So check it! This movie Dazed and Confused is like, essential. Follows a group of way cool dudes and chicks around on the last day of high school, circa 1976, suburban Texas.

Jonah: Wasn't Matthew McConaughey in that?

Stanley: Bet, the dude who liked high school chicks. "The older I get, they stay the same age!"

Emma: I give Linklater props. He snuck lots of revolutionary messages into that movie.

Jonah: Like what?

Emma: Feminist theory via analysis of Gilligan's Island, the cool history teacher warning her students what the Bicentennial's really about, exposing how conformity is enforced through mindless initiation rituals.

Bill: Uh, what was the Bicentennial really about?

Emma, Stanley & Jonah (simultaneously): Celebrating rich white slaveowners who didn't want to pay their taxes!

Bill: I just thought this flick was about smoking a lot of weed.

Ted: You can look at it like through that, y'know, revolutionary lens if you want, man, but the stoner nation knows the truth.

Bill: That's why we will ALWAYS be...READY TO ROCK!

Jonah: You know, you guys are super obsessed.

Bill: We're not the first.

Ted: Yeah, check out those dudes from the Stoned Age who joined the Blue Oyster Cult.

Jonah: The Stoned Age? That movie got made for what, forty cents they fished out of a milk glass?

Bill: But it was real, man.

Ted: Yeah, that movie was a lot deeper than you think.

Jonah: You've both finally flipped. The last Phish show you went to, did you get hit with a laser?

Ted: Forget that third eye shit, man. Alright? That was just Hollywood hokem, and you've gotta look past it. Now check it. What's it say, right here on the box?

Jonah (reading off the box): It says, "Better than Dazed and Confused."

Ted: Bingo. And that's what we're talking about. Not better as in, a more fun, candy-coated view of what it was like to be stoned and live in the 70's. Uh uh.

Stanley: Dazed and Confused has that down cold.

Bill: When you watch The Stoned Age, see, you're getting an up-close, low-rent glimpse into the basement beer blast scene of suburban stoners in the seventies. You're hip to the good, the bad, and the ugly, all up close and personal.

Ted: It's like, classic angst, man. Suburbia breeds anger and disillusionment in like, the whole American Dream. And the stoners are always the first ones to figure it out. Weed opens your eyes to that shit.

Bill: And there's always a killer soundtrack involved, 'cuz music helps keep you sane when you're locked in that kind of dull, conformist environment. BOC in the Stoned Age. Kiss in Detroit Rock City. Over The Edge, and Matt Dillon blasting Cheap Trick.

Jonah: I thought it was Keanu Reeves in that movie, and Crispin Glover was the stoner metalhead.

Bill: Dude, that was River's Edge. Eighties. C'mon, Jonah, you've Mr. Seventies, you've never seen Over The Edge?

Jonah: You'll have to school me.

Ted: Dude! It's only the most fucking right on flick about alienated youth ever made!

Bill: It's like, the Kids of the 70's. Larry Clark wishes he made Over The Edge. But hey, that doesn't make Dazed And Confused any less important!

Ted: Or essential! Parker Posey squirting mustard on high schol jail bait! Slater the king stoner expounding on George and Martha Washington farming weed and getting high! Drugs on the 40-yard line! Ben Affleck in yet another key role along his rise to megastardom! The brilliant followup to Richard Linklater's groundbreaking debut film Slacker, and Linklater's best film to date! What are you waiting for?

Bill: You can bid now, dudes!

You are bidding on a previous rental, used VHS videotape of Dazed And Confused (1993), pictured below. Tape comes with original box, cut-out to fit in white plastic storage case, is in good condition and guaranteed to play. High bidder pays $3.50 S&H. Credit cards accepted using PayPal.

CLASS OF 1984 punk blackboard jungle rip-off Alice Cooper Michael J. Fox OOP VHS

Mark: Now remember, people, don't try looking us up in the phone book. And if Mr. Kincaid answers the phone, don't say anything about buying our movies on eBay. You got it? We'll get to today's featured item in a minute. Anyway, my point. They're still making sequels to Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Tobe Hooper was nobody when he shot that film.

Stanley: So what's the deal, do you see a franchise for Night Of The Silly Toilets?

Mark, Emma & Jonah (simultaneously): Night Of The Sinister Toilets!

Stanley: Whatever. Part II - The Toilets Overflow? I don't see it. But it's your dream, man. Just promise me one thing.

Mark: What's that?

Stanley: Just don't turn out like Mark Lester.

Jonah: I know that name. Who is that guy?

Stanley: Mark L. Lester, the dude who directed Firestarter.

Jonah: Yeah, yeah, and a bunch of trashy 70's flicks! That's the guy who made Roller Boogie, with Linda Blair!

Emma: You mean they're gonna tear down the roller rink? Let's stage a disco protest! On wheels!

Stanley: Mark L. Lester will be forever remembered as yet another clown whose taste of success curdled the creative urge that made him great to begin with.

Jonah: Preach on, man.

Stanley: His big score was Class Of 1984. Then they hired him to do Firestarter, and it was all downhill from there. A few years later, he blows the reality cover completely and comes out with this doo-doo called Class of 1999.

Mark: Killer robot humanoids hired as teachers to control unruly student gangs. I love that movie!

Stanley: Man, it was a sordid re-hash of his one original idea! You can't even compare the two! Pam Grier's in this flick, and it still sucks!

Emma: Maybe you're being too hard on this guy. Maybe he's a producer in the Roger Corman mold, y'know, product first, production values later.

Jonah: Yeah, Class of 1984 was the bomb. Roddy McDowell holding his class hostage at gunpoint? Michael J. Fox on acid, taking a nose dive off the school flagpole? Far out!

Stanley: It was his friend who died. MJ was the goody two-shoes who ratted out the evil hoodlums.

Jonah: Yo, but Stan, I don't think this guy's retired. Didn't he do that Running Man movie?

Mark: The latest in a long series of Stephen King masterpieces turned celluloid travesties by people who just don't understand.

Emma: You've got to be kidding, Jonah, that movie was so wack. The story it's based on was ultra-political, heavy duty revolution against the media industrial complex type shit and they turned it into a fucking gladiator film.

Jonah: Night of the Running Man, kids. With Andrew McCarthy.

Stanley: Oh yeah, he's like, a normal dude who finds some gangsters' cash, and they're straight after him. Lester did that?

Jonah: I think so, dude.

Stanley: Well shit, maybe the cat wised up when his mid-life crisis hit.

Mark: Look, the movie under discussion here is Class Of 1984. You'll see the ultimate updating of The Blackboard Jungle. Theme song by Alice Cooper, We Are The Future. Perry King, who was in Mandingo and Andy Warhol's Bad as the hero. The most vicious gang of thugs ever to terrorize a high school, led by a baby-faced Chris Van Patten - crazed punks running out of control, committing ultra-nasty acts of wanton violence! Roddy McDowell flipping so far out he never comes back! Michael J. Fox falling victim to the gang during an over the top school lunchroom riot! And best of all, the gruesome vengeance that befalls each member of this hated teenage wild bunch! So start bidding!

You are bidding on a previous rental, used VHS videotape of Class Of 1984 (1982), pictured below. Tape comes with original box, is in good condition, and guaranteed to play. High bidder pays $3.50 S&H. Credit cards accepted using PayPal.
